We’re offering a limited number of free tickets to the internationally acclaimed artist Kerry James Marshall’s exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.
Kerry James Marshall is widely regarded as one of the most important painters working today. His vivid, large-scale paintings place the Black figure boldly at the centre, reclaiming space in the Western tradition of history painting.
Drawing on art history, the civil rights movement, comics, science fiction, and his own memories, Marshall creates powerful works that honour the past, celebrate everyday Black life, and imagine brighter futures.
This exhibition is the largest showing of his work outside the US and for many, it’s the first chance to experience his art in the UK. Visitors will see over 70 works, including the monumental mural Knowledge and Wonder (1995), commissioned for the Chicago Public Library and never loaned before.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity. We have a limited number of free tickets available, with priority given to Black students.
